What is the point of this comment? The recipe calls for granulated. If you use brown sugar, its no longer caramel, its butterscotch.

Brown sugar caramel…brown sugar needs to be melted before any other ingredients are added. (It becomes grainy if not totally melted before other ingredients are added)
